MUD PIE QUILT

Supply List

You will work with light, medium, and dark values to create this star quilt - but there are optical illusions in this quilt, too!  Play with colors.  You can use just two or three colors, or more.  I used many colors.  Choose your fabric style.  My quilt is all stripes and plaids, but yours could be all prints or a combination of prints and plaids, or all batiks!  It's the values that are most important in Mud Pie.  Of course, the recipe is included in your pattern.

One 5" x 42" strip of 40 different fabrics, medium and dark values, your choice of colors.
One 5" x 42" strip of 40 different fabrics, light values. These will be your background fabrics. Your choice of colors -- neutrals such as white, cream, tan or light values of one or more different colors, for example, light blue, light green, etc.

Then from each strip, cut 2 squares, 4½" x 4½" (80 squares total).
